Here at Skipper Rods, we strive to build the best fishing rod without the
high cost. We use top names for our rod blanks: Seeker, Pacific Bay, St. Croix,
CUI, Lamiglass and many more. Our main supplier is Merrick Tackle, so if you
see anything on their website you would like to have, we can get it for you.
In fact, we can supply your entire rod and tackle needs! We can build you

Most custom rods are more expensive than ours because we have no overhead.
We don’t apply fancy wraps that cost you more money; the fish aren’t
attracted to them. We concentrate on providing great rods that have the action
and the power needed to ensure an awesome fishing experience.
Our rods are basic in appearance but not in design. We guarantee the craftsmanship

We started this company because, as fishermen, we were unhappy with the choices
we had. Not many blue collar guys and gals can afford the high price for custom
rods and tackle. I have a garage full of rods that were lacking in one way
or another. I researched how to build rods and started doing so in 2005. Let
me build a Skipper Rod for you and you will see how affordable a quality custom
fishing rod can be.
When purchasing a rod by cash, check or money order we require a minimum of 50% of the purchase price paid up front leaving the balance plus shipping at time of order completion, if using Paypal we require the entire amount be paid when placing the order. A tax of 6.25% will be added for Ohio residents.
